On 5 May 2026, the Geodesy Reception in Vienna brought together 129 experts from 16 countries. Hosted by BEV during EGU 2026, it served as a key platform for networking, collaboration, and international exchange across the global geodetic community.

Winners of the Geodesy Cartoon Competition were announced on 5 May 2026 at EGU26 in Vienna during IAG geodesy Reception. With 274 submissions from 119 cartoonists in 46 countries, the initiative highlights how creative visuals make geodesy accessible and strengthen science communication and outreach.

CGU joins IGC 2028 in Calgary (Aug 12–20). Submit Geomatics & Geodesy sessions (gravity, GNSS, tectonics, hydrology, sea level) by March 2027 to highlight geodesy’s role in global challenges.
