This event brought 30 early career scientists from 12 African countries to AIMS Cameroon for hands-on training in geodesy and Earth observation. The programme built practical skills, pan-African collaboration, science-to-policy capacity, and a lasting tide-gauge facility in Limbe for coastal resilience.

IAG participated as an observer in the 16th session of UN-GGIM in New York. Its intervention highlighted the need to protect radio frequencies used for geodetic VLBI and reaffirmed IAG’s commitment to strengthening a sustainable, resilient global geodetic infrastructure and the Global Geodetic Reference Frame.
