His research explores how geophysical fluids such as the atmosphere, oceans, and hydrosphere influence Earth’s rotation, with a focus on understanding the impacts of climate change on timekeeping and positioning systems.

This accessible and visually engaging explainer introduces the fundamentals of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) and shows how radio telescopes around the globe measure distances of thousands of kilometres with millimetre precision. It highlights contributions to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame, satellite navigation, and Earth observation, and showcases Australia’s role in global VLBI operations.

Registration is now open for the Geodesy for a Resilient Africa Summer School 2026, an intensive hands-on training in Limbé, Cameroon (29 June–3 July 2026) focused on using geodetic and satellite data for climate resilience. Open exclusively to African students, researchers, and practitioners. Registration runs from 6 February to 8 March 2026.
