SUMMARY:ITGRF Workshop 2026
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 ITGRF workshop will provide an excellent opportunity to advance the International Terrestrial Gravity Reference Frame and to discuss current activities within the IAG Joint Working Group 2.1.1. The workshop will focus on ensuring the compatibility of absolute gravity observations\, establishing and maintaining gravity reference stations\, and developing a modern\, user-oriented infrastructure for end-users. It will bring together experts in absolute gravimetry\, gravity monitoring\, and reference frame realization to exchange knowledge and coordinate future work. \nThe International Terrestrial Gravity Reference Frame (ITGRF) is developed by the International Association of Geodesy and is based on accurate observations from absolute gravimeters and continuous gravity monitoring at reference stations. DESCRIPTION:9th SIRGAS School on “Reference Systems and Reference Frames”.  \nThe School will be offered in a hybrid format: \n\nthe theoretical component will be delivered online\, From October 19 to 30.\nthe practical component will take place in person at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Republic (Universidad de la República)\, Montevideo\, Uruguay.
