SUMMARY:GNSS Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR) Course
DESCRIPTION:Kristine M. Larson gives a short course on GNSS Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR). It is a half-day and covers basic principles with an overview on the GNSS-IR software package she developed in python. This is followed by two practical sessions\, one on snow depth and the other on measuring water (tides\, lakes\, rivers). The main part of the course is being held on October 21. \nUNAVCO has graciously agreed to support this class\, and registration is via their portal. The deadline for registering is September 3. SUMMARY:GGOS Days 2021 (virtual conference)
DESCRIPTION:GGOS Days is the annual meeting of GGOS during which the different components of GGOS meet and report on their activities during the past year and their plans for the coming year. Everyone is encouraged to attend! Due to the uncertain COVID-19 situation\, it was decided that the GGOS Days 2021 will take place again completely as virtual conference. So it was not held as a hybrid meeting in Munich (Germany)\, as originally planned. \nThe GGOS Days 2021 were held on October 11 to 13\, 2021 with a duration of 2 hours each day from 13:00 to 15:00 UTC.  \nGGOS Days 2021 Report (PDF) \nWatch the Recording\nThe entire conference was recorded and parts of it are now available at the GGOS You Tube Channel. \n\nDownload Reports and Presentations\nThe GGOS Days report\, Status Reports of GGOS components and all Presentation Slides are available at GGOS Cloud:\n﻿ \nParticipants\nMembers of the GGOS Consortium\, GGOS Coordinating Board\, GGOS Bureaus\, GGOS Focus Areas\, GGOS Science Panel\, invited guests and all interested persons were highly welcome to attend this meeting. DESCRIPTION:This online event will be held October 25–29\, 2021\, to virtually visit 5 SLR stations in 5 days\, stopping at:  · Herstmonceux\, UK · Mendeleevo\, Russia · Monument Peak\, USA · Shanghai\, China · Wettzell\, Germany \nEach two-hour session will consist of a tour of the site highlighting instrumentation\, software\, safety\, automation\, operations\, as well as current issues and future plans. These tours include a mixture of pre-recorded and live presentations with an opportunity for questions.
