EPOS Days is the flagship annual conference of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS), bringing together researchers, data providers, and infrastructure developers from across Europe to advance collaboration in solid Earth science. The event serves as a key forum to discuss the evolution of EPOS as a pan-European research infrastructure and to showcase progress in data interoperability, FAIR principles, and service integration across the various Thematic Core Services (TCS).
The programme combines plenary talks, thematic sessions, and interactive discussions covering:
- introductions to EPOS and its services for newcomers and partners;
- updates from the different TCS communities, including geodesy, seismology, volcanology, and geomagnetism;
- sessions on technical challenges, data policy, and ICS–TCS integration;
- discussions on responsible and societal use of research infrastructures;
- international collaboration and national implementation showcases;
- networking opportunities such as poster sessions and a dedicated Early Career Researchers event.
Overall, EPOS Days provides a dynamic platform to exchange knowledge, align technical developments, and strengthen the community working towards a FAIR, open, and sustainable EPOS infrastructure for solid Earth science in Europe.
