ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SATELLITE GRAVITY RECOVERY AND EARTH SYSTEM DATA ASSIMILATION

There is an open Assistant Professor position in the Geodesy Research Group at Aalborg University. The position focuses on establishing research in the two areas of satellite gravity recovery from current and future satellite gravimetry missions, as well as data–model fusion techniques. We expect that the candidates could show proven research excellence in both areas.
The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching in surveying engineering. Responsibilities include lecturing, conducting practical exercises (e.g., using total stations, levelling instruments, surveying GNSS, and remote sensing in mapping projects), supervising BSc and MSc projects, and coordinating and planning courses and semesters at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels, primarily within surveying. All teaching is conducted according to Aalborg University’s Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model.
