New IAG Publications | Geodesist’s Handbook 2024 & IAG Travaux 2023–2025
The International Association of Geodesy (IAG) has released two key reference publications for the global geodesy community:
- The Geodesist’s Handbook 2024 (DOI: 10.82507/IAG-GH2024) appears periodically after each IUGG/IAG General Assembly and serves as a comprehensive guide to the IAG and its structure for the upcoming IAG term. It compiles the IAG Statutes, Bylaws, Rules, and other administrative information, summarizes the most recent IUGG/IAG General Assembly, and documents the current IAG components, their terms of reference, officers, scientific programs, and planned activities. The Geodesist’s Handbook 2024 with all its chapters is available via the IAG website at: https://geodesy.science/iag/resources/general/geodesists-handbook-2024/
- The IAG Travaux Report 2023–2025 Volume 44 (DOI: 10.82507/IAG-TRAVAUX2025) is the latest volume of the IAG’s biennial activity reports. It provides a detailed mid-term overview of the scientific and organizational activities across the IAG Commissions, Inter-Commission Committees, Projects, GGOS, and IAG Services during the 2023–2025 period, offering a valuable record of progress, achievements, and developments in global geodesy. The IAG Travaux Report 2023–2025 with all its chapters is available via the IAG website at: https://geodesy.science/iag/resources/activity-reports/iag-travaux-report-2023-2025/
Both publications are open access and come with a main DOI as well as individual DOIs for each chapter, ensuring that the contributions of IAG components and Services can be cited precisely and independently. Researchers, professionals, and students in geodesy are invited to explore both volumes, use the DOIs for precise citation, and share these resources within their networks.
