Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer – Geodesy

The National School of Surveying at the University of Otago is inviting applications for a full-time, permanent academic position. We seek candidates with expertise in at least two of the following four areas: a) Geodesy, b) Surveying Mathematics, c) Applied Geodesy, or d) other Surveying subfields.
The appointment will be made at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, depending on the candidate’s academic achievements, skills, and experience. We are looking for exceptional candidates who have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong interest in teaching, contributing to the aspirations of both national and international communities. The position is expected to commence on or before January 5, 2026. The application deadline is August 7, 2025.
