The symposium will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2026, in Gävle, Sweden, and online. Abstracts and applications for travel support must be submitted by April 15, 2026. Travel funding is available, with a focus on early career scientists and underrepresented groups.

The Geodesy Section will offer a comprehensive program covering advances in gravity field modelling, geoid and height system modernization, GNSS/GNSS-IR, InSAR, geodynamics, deformation monitoring, satellite missions, and innovations in gravimetry. International contributions from the IAG community are encouraged. Travel support for students and Early Career Researchers is available. The abstract submission deadline is January 10, 2026.

Call for Abstracts – EGU26 Session G2.2 “New Technologies for GGOS”
GGOS, Other, 📅 Event UpdateThe Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS) invites contributions to Session G2.2 “New Technologies for the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS)” at the EGU General Assembly 2026 in Vienna. This session will highlight innovations and advances in geodetic observing systems for monitoring Earth’s geometry, gravity, and rotation. Topics include emerging technologies such as relativistic geodesy, quantum sensors, next-generation laser systems, LEO-based positioning, navigation and timing (PNT), and other forward-looking geodetic techniques. The session also welcomes contributions on general GGOS developments, new observatory concepts, and strategies to enhance the global geodetic infrastructure.
