Call for Nominations for IAG Officers (2027–2031)
The IAG Nominating Committee invites the IAG community to submit nominations for IAG Officers for the 2027–2031 period. The elections will take place by electronic vote before the 2027 IAG General Assembly in Incheon, Korea.
Positions open for nomination
Nominations are invited for:
- IAG President
- IAG Vice-President
- IAG Secretary General
- Presidents of the five IAG Commissions
- Two Members-at-Large
- Representative for IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility)
Info: The three Service representatives are nominated separately by the IAG Services. Following a recent decision of the IAG Council, the current Commission 4 will be divided into two Commissions: Commission 4: Positioning, Navigation and Timing and Commission 5: Atmosphere and Space Weather.
Who can submit nominations?
The call is addressed to IAG Council Delegates, IAG Officers, IAG Fellows and IAG Individual Members. In particular, all IAG Individual Members are encouraged to participate actively in the process. Individual membership includes the right to participate in IAG elections both as a nominator and as a nominee.
The Nominating Committee encourages nominations that reflect the diversity of the global geodetic community, including scientists across genders, career stages, geographic regions and economic settings, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries.

The deadline for nominations is 31 October 2026.
Nominations should be submitted to: Dr. Zuheir Altamimi (Chair, IAG Nominating Committee) Email:
