GCOS – Global Climate Observing System
The Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) coordinates the collection of climate-related observations worldwide to monitor, understand, and predict climate change. It integrates data from satellites, in-situ networks, and modeling systems to provide a comprehensive picture of the Earth’s climate. GCOS supports climate research, policy-making, and the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
