IHRF – International Height Reference Frame

The IHRF is the realization of the International Height Reference System (IHRS), providing a concrete set of reference points with defined heights. It links local and regional height systems to a global standard using data from leveling, GNSS, and gravimetry. In geodesy, the IHRF enables consistent elevation measurements worldwide, supports monitoring of sea level and land motion, and allows integration of geospatial data across continents.
