UN-GGCE – United Nations Global Geodetic Center of Excellence

The UN-GGCE, established in 2020 in Bonn, Germany, supports the development and maintenance of a high-quality and sustainable Global Geodetic Reference Frame (GGRF) for science, society, and global development. It provides guidance, training, and coordination to Member States and geodetic organizations, enabling precise positioning, satellite navigation, Earth observation, and geospatial data integration. The center advances global geodetic cooperation, infrastructure, standards, policies, and capacity building to support sustainable development, disaster management, and environmental monitoring.
