Meet Hugo Lecomte – Early Career Scientist
Hugo Lecomte, a French researcher driven by a fascination with Earth’s gravity. His central question is: How well do we truly understand the changes in our planet’s gravity field?
During his postdoctoral work at LEGOS in Toulouse, he studied ocean mass and water variations using state-of-the-art satellite gravity measurements. Hugo has now begun a three-year postdoc at the Finnish Geospatial Institute, where he focuses on tracking gravity variations in Finland through high-precision ground-based observations. Bridging satellite data and in situ measurements, his research contributes to a deeper understanding of Earth’s changing gravity field.
