OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium

The OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) is an international standards organization that develops open and interoperable standards for geospatial data, services, and systems. Its specifications enable the consistent exchange, integration, and visualization of geospatial information across platforms and institutions.

In geodesy, OGC standards support the dissemination and interoperability of geodetic data products, such as reference frames, coordinate transformation services, GNSS data streams, and gravity field models. By promoting open standards, OGC facilitates the integration of geodetic infrastructure into broader geospatial information systems and Earth observation frameworks.
