SCoG – Subcommittee on Geodesy (UN-GGIM)

The Subcommittee on Geodesy (SCoG) is a subsidiary body of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM). It was established to promote and coordinate global efforts to strengthen geodetic infrastructure and ensure the long-term sustainability of the Global Geodetic Reference Frame (GGRF).

In geodesy, SCoG plays a key role in fostering international cooperation, capacity development, and policy support for maintaining and improving geodetic reference frames and observing systems. Its work supports precise positioning, navigation, disaster risk reduction, climate monitoring, and sustainable development worldwide.
