Join Us for GGOS Days 2026 – Registration and Final Programme Now Available
The Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS) warmly invites the international geodetic community to participate in GGOS Days 2026, taking place from 5 to 7 October 2026 in Gävle, Sweden.
Hosted by Lantmäteriet, the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority, the meeting will bring together representatives and contributors from across GGOS, the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), its Services, Commissions and Inter-Commission Committees, as well as researchers, practitioners, students and partner organisations from related disciplines.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, enabling participants to join either in person in Gävle or remotely. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
Explore the future of global geodesy
GGOS Days provide an important annual forum for exchanging information about recent achievements, current challenges and future priorities across GGOS and the wider geodetic community. The programme covers a broad range of topics, including:
- global geodetic infrastructure and observing networks;
- new satellite missions relevant to geodesy;
- developments within the IAG Services;
- Essential Geodetic Variables;
- geodetic products, standards and data dissemination;
- regional and international collaboration;
- communication and public outreach;
- artificial intelligence for geodesy;
- geodetic space weather research; and
- geohazards monitoring.
In addition to scientific presentations and reports from GGOS components, the meeting will offer opportunities for discussion, networking and the development of new collaborations.

Participants wishing to attend in person must register by 6 September 2026. Registration for online participation will remain possible after this date.
Extend your visit: GGOS Topical Meeting on Geohazards
Participants are also encouraged to join the GGOS Topical Meeting on Geohazards, which will take place at the same venue on 2 October 2026. The Topical Meeting will explore how geodetic research and technologies (including GNSS and InSAR) can be translated into operational monitoring and early-warning applications for natural hazards.
