Gravitational Potential (V)

The gravitational potential represents the energy per unit mass resulting solely from the Earth’s mass distribution. Unlike the centrifugal potential, which acts outward due to the Earth’s rotation around its axis, the gravitational potential arises from Newton’s law of universal gravitation and pulls mass inward toward the Earth’s center of mass.
