ICET – International Center for Earth Tides

The International Center for Earth Tides (ICET), established in 1956 and hosted by the Royal Observatory of Belgium, serves as a data and information service for global Earth tide research. It collects, archives, and analyzes tidal gravity data from observatories worldwide, supporting studies on Earth deformation, ocean and atmospheric loading, and core–mantle interactions. Today, ICET operates in coordination with the International Geodynamics and Earth Tide Service (IGETS) under the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), ensuring long-term access to high-quality gravity and Earth tide observations for geophysical and geodetic research.
