NRCan – Natural Resources Canada
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is a federal department of the Government of Canada responsible for natural resource management, geoscience, mapping, and geospatial data infrastructure. Through its Geodetic Survey Division, NRCan maintains Canada’s national geodetic reference frame, coordinate systems, height systems, and GNSS infrastructure.
In geodesy, NRCan operates and supports continuous GNSS networks, gravity programs, and geodetic data services that contribute to precise positioning, crustal deformation monitoring, sea level studies, and Arctic geodynamics. It also contributes to regional and global reference frame development and international geodetic collaboration.
