Tide Free (TF) system

The tide free system (also known as a non-tidal system) is a geodetic convention for handling the permanent (time-independent) effects of the Sun and Moon on the Earth’s shape and gravity field. In a tide-free system, both the direct gravitational attraction of the sun and the moon and the indirect permanent deformation of the Earth’s crust are removed.
