WDS – World Data System
The World Data System (WDS) is an international initiative established by the International Science Council (ISC) in 2008 as a successor to the World Data Center (WDC) system and the Federation of Astronomical and Geophysical Data Analysis Services (FAGS). Its goal is to ensure long-term preservation, open access, and reliable stewardship of scientific data across all disciplines. The WDS promotes data quality, interoperability, and international collaboration through a global network of accredited data centers, services, and networks that adhere to high standards of data management and sharing.
