DLR – German Aerospace Center

DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt) is Germany’s national research center for aeronautics, space, and energy, conducting applied and fundamental research. In geodesy, DLR develops and operates satellites, instruments, and missions for Earth observation, gravity field mapping, and satellite navigation. It provides data and expertise to global geodetic reference frames, monitors mass redistribution, supports Earth system modeling, and collaborates on international projects such as GRACE, GRACE‑FO, and CHAMP.
