A-GPS / A-GNSS – Assisted GPS/GNSS

A-GPS (Assisted GPS) and A-GNSS (Assisted Global Navigation Satellite System) are technologies that enhance the accuracy and speed of satellite-based positioning systems like GPS. They use additional data from mobile networks or the internet to help the device locate satellites more quickly, especially in challenging environments like urban canyons or indoors. A-GNSS extends this by supporting multiple satellite systems (e.g., GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) to improve reliability and coverage.
