Centrifugal Potential (Φ)

Τhe centrifugal potential is the component of the gravity potential (geopotential) due to the Earth’s rotation around its axis. While the gravitational potential (V) attracts masses towards the center, the centrifugal potential acts outward, perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
