GGOS Core Sites
GGOS Core Sites are key geodetic observatories that integrate multiple measurement techniques (e.g. GNSS, VLBI, SLR, and DORIS) at a single location. They are part of an IAG Service network, providing continuous observations, data archiving, and analysis to generate high-quality geodetic products. Core Sites support the realization of global reference frames, including the ITRF, and contribute to monitoring Earth rotation, crustal deformation, and mass redistribution. They form the backbone of GGOS by combining precise observations with consistent standards and global accessibility.
