The ILRS (International Laser Ranging Service) is an international service that coordinates and evaluates laser distance measurements to artificial Earth satellites conducted worldwide according to established criteria, the service brings together all institutes involved in Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) and was established by the IAG in September 1998.
