ILS – International Latitude Service

The International Latitude Service (ILS) was established to monitor tiny variations in Earth’s rotation by observing changes in latitude at multiple observatories worldwide. Its data helped improve understanding of polar motion and contributed to geodesy and Earth rotation studies.
