TOPEX – Ocean TOPography EXperiment

TOPEX (Ocean TOPography EXperiment) was a satellite mission designed to measure global ocean surface topography with high precision. In collaboration with NASA and CNES, it provided key data on sea level, ocean circulation, and climate processes, significantly advancing oceanography and satellite geodesy.
