The redesigned PDF Newsletter (since January 2026), now issued by the IAG Secretariat at BEV in Austria, summarizes key developments and is accessible online and via the Journal of Geodesy.

Meet Alfonso Caldiero | Early Career Scientist

Alfonso Caldiero, an Italian researcher from near Naples, is close to completing his PhD in geodesy, focusing on spacecraft trajectories around small bodies such as asteroids and comets. His research develops methods to infer an asteroid’s internal mass distribution from gravity field measurements, contributing to the analysis of data from current and upcoming space missions.

TIGER Symposium in Geodesy 2026 – Abstract submission and registration open

Abstract submission for the TIGER Symposium in Geodesy 2026 is now open. The symposium will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2026, in Gävle, Sweden, and online. Abstracts and applications for travel support must be submitted by April 15, 2026. Travel funding is available, with a focus on early career scientists and underrepresented groups.
