The Copernicus Sentinel satellites are the operational missions of the Copernicus Programme, providing Earth observation data for various applications like land and ocean monitoring, and atmospheric monitoring. Sentinel-1 is a radar imaging mission for all-weather, day-and-night applications such as ice monitoring and maritime surveillance. Sentinel-2 provides high-resolution multispectral optical imagery for land monitoring, including agriculture and urban areas. Sentinel-3 focuses on ocean and global land monitoring, measuring sea surface temperature, ocean colour, and sea-surface height.
