IVTW2025 – 10th International VLBI Technology Workshop

IVS, 📅 Event Update
vlbi göteborg sweden

This is the 3rd announcement for the 10th International VLBI Technology Workshop (IVTW2025). The workshop will take place October 21-25, 2025. It is hosted by Chalmers University of Technology, Onsala Space Observatory, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Website: https://indico.chalmers.se/event/295/

IVTW2025 will bring together experts and researchers from around the world to share the latest developments in VLBI technology. The workshop will cover a broad range of topics, including: station updates, frontend and backend systems, recording and correlation techniques, image processing, potential space VLBI missions, RFI monitoring, mitigation, and adaptive strategies in today’s rapidly changing environment.

In addition, we plan to arrange a visit to the clean room facility at Chalmers campus, used by the Onsala Space Observatory GARD group for receiver development, as well as a site visit to the observatory located 45 km from Chalmers campus (and the city centre).

  • We invite you to submit an abstract for the workshop. Abstract submission is open and will close on the 1st of September.
  • Please note that the hotel block booking is only valid until September 19.
  • The registration fee for the IVTW2025 is 1000 SEK, including VAT. This fee covers the icebreaker reception, coffee breaks, lunches, the conference dinner and the visit to observatory.

The workshop is sponsored by Chalmers Space. We look forward to welcoming you to Gothenburg for a week of collaboration and innovation in VLBI technology.

GGOS Days 2025 – Invitation

GGOS, Services, 📅 Event Update

Each year, the GGOS Executive Committee organises the GGOS Days to update the IAG and GGOS communities on the recent achievements and current challenges of those involved in achieving the goals of the GGOS Strategic Plan. While participation in GGOS Days has increased considerably in recent years, particularly online, we have decided to hold GGOS Days 2025 as part of the IAG2025 Scientific Assembly this year, in order to inform and engage a wider audience of GGOS activities.

The IAG2025 Scientific Assembly will take place in Rimini, Italy, from 1 to 5 September 2025. The GGOS Days 2025 are fully integrated into the IAG2025 Scientific Assembly and will take place at the same venue. In line with the IAG2025 Scientific Assembly format, participation in GGOS Days 2025 is only possible in person and is open only to registered participants of the IAG2025 Scientific Assembly.

Please find details of the various IAG2025 Scientific Assembly symposia organised by GGOS in the GGOS Days 2025 Handbook. As usual, we will try to collect the various contributions and store them in the GGOS Cloud for future access.
