GGOS Committees & Working Groups
GGOS Committees and GGOS Working Groups address overarching issues common to several or all IAG components, and are a mechanism to bring the various activities of the Services, Commissions and Inter-Commission Committees together, or to link GGOS to external organizations. GGOS Committees and Working Groups are associated to the GGOS components BPS, BNO or CO and Focus Areas.
GGOS Committees
Committees are established for a long periode. GGOS Committees:
- Committee on “Performance Simulations and Architectural Trade-Offs (PLATO)” (associated to BNO)
- Committee on “Data and Information Systems” (associated to BNO)
- Committee on “Satellite and Space Missions” (associated to BNO)
- Committee on “Contribution to Earth System Modelling” (associated to BPS)
- Committee on “Essential Geodetic Variables (EGV)” (associated to BPS)
- Committee on “DOIs for Geodetic Data Sets” (associated to CO)
GGOS Working Groups (WG), Joint Working Groups (JWG) and Joint Study Groups (JSG)
Working Groups are established for a short periode (4 years). GGOS Working Groups:
- JWG on “Consolidation of a best estimate GRS based on the adopted W0 of the IHRF” (associated to BPS)
- JWG 1.2.2 on “Metrology of Space Geodetic Infrastructure” (associated to BNO)
