Contributing National Organisations to IAG

The International Association of Geodesy (IAG) strongly relies on its contributing organizations, which provide essential support in various ways. These organizations contribute expertise, personnel, and funding to sustain geodetic observatories, analysis centers, data centers, and many other critical components of geodetic research and operations. Their collaboration ensures the advancement of geodetic science and the development of high-quality global geodetic products.

IAG Liasons | Sister Societies

The Sister Societies of the IAG are organizations active in the geospatial field, listed below. Most of these sister societies are also members of the UN-GGIM Geospatial Societies.

  • IUGG – International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics
  • FIG – International Federation of Surveyors
  • ISPRS – International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
  • ICA – International Cartographic Association
  • IEEE-GRSS – Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society
