Future IAG Secretariat

The IAG Secretariat is being established at the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (BEV) in Austria, strengthening IAG’s organizational structure and international coordination. It will take on the long-term tasks of the IAG Secretary General and public relations activities currently managed by the IAG Communications and Outreach Branch (COB). This integration will enhance cooperation with the GGOS Coordination Office, also hosted at BEV, and streamline geodetic activities. The formal establishment is planned for the IUGG General Assembly in 2027, pending final approval by the IAG Council.
